OUR STORY
Science with
Purpose. People
with Passion.
EvoGenesis was founded on a simple belief: better engineering can turn overlooked resources into new opportunity. We bring entrepreneurs, engineers, and scientists together to commercialize GenesisLoop™ powered by Revodox™—a new industrial pathway from waste to energy.
WHAT DRIVES US
Our mission. Our vision. Our passion.
Three commitments that shape every decision we make — from the lab to the boardroom to the communities we serve.

03
PASSION
We chose to work on a problem we could not ignore.
The founders brought together experience in entrepreneurship, engineering, operations, and commercialization around one conviction: overlooked resources can create meaningful opportunity when better technology puts them to work.
“We are building the team and platform required to turn established chemical-looping science into operating projects.”
OUR STORY
Built to turn conviction into operating systems.
EvoGenesis began with a conviction shared by longtime friends and co-founders Joseph Hwang, John Stout, and Anthony Tulio: valuable material should not be buried when better engineering can put it to work. Their earlier experience building together revealed a natural partnership — entrepreneurial vision matched with disciplined operations.
They assembled a team spanning business, mechanical engineering, project execution, and chemical-looping science. Each person brings a different strength, but the team works toward one outcome: complete systems that can perform in real industrial settings.
GenesisLoop™ builds on decades of chemical-looping research at The Ohio State University. EvoGenesis is bringing that scientific foundation together with engineering, commercial partnerships, and project development to create a repeatable platform for deployment.
COMMERCIALIZATION LEADERSHIP
One platform. Six disciplines. A team built to move science into operating projects.
GenesisLoop™ is more than a reactor. Commercial deployment requires scientific depth, integrated engineering, disciplined operations, viable project economics, market partnerships, and capital to move together. EvoGenesis has built its leadership team around each of those requirements.
FOUNDERS
Built together before. Structured for what comes next.
Joseph Hwang, John Stout, and Anthony Tulio bring an established working relationship to EvoGenesis, with deliberately distinct responsibilities. Joseph leads company direction and commercialization. John builds the operating discipline required for delivery. Anthony aligns project economics, capital, and long-term value creation. Together, they provide the commercial leadership needed to move GenesisLoop™ from a research-backed technical foundation toward repeatable project development.

What we believe.
The value is already there.
Waste isn't a problem to be disposed of — it's a resource waiting for the right conversion technology. Every ton of municipal solid waste, industrial byproduct, or end-of-life material contains embedded energy and chemical value. Our job is to recover it efficiently, cleanly, and at a cost that makes economic sense without subsidies.
Master the molecule, master the outcome.
Chemical looping works because it separates oxygen delivery from combustion in a way that conventional systems cannot. That separation is what makes inherent CO₂ capture possible — and it's what gives us precise control over reaction chemistry. Mastery of oxygen carrier behavior at scale is the core technical competency that differentiates EvoGenesis.
Commercialization is a system.
A breakthrough technology is not a commercial product. Commercialization requires engineering standards, operations protocols, supply chain integration, offtake structures, and project finance capability — assembled into a repeatable delivery model. EvoGenesis is building that platform. We're not just licensing IP; we're delivering operating assets.
